Thank you for contributing your comment, as an entrepreneur I can really appreciate where you are in your development. It definitely takes guts, passion and a drive that only those who have attempted a business will ever know. I remember when I started my second business… It was more nerve-racking than the first because I had already chalked up a failure (you are not alone). When starting your second business it takes guts, passion, drive …..and a little bit of crazy, right? Great to hear the “hippie nonsense” settled in and inspired you to get back to doing what you love. Everyone comes to a moment in their life when they are faced with the age old dillema, bar-b-que or mildew, poop or get off the pot, in other words: Get your a$$ in gear!
Recently I was awoke in the middle of the night by a sick kid and as I was laying there trying unsuccessfully to get back to sleep I had an epiphany. I was going to start my own business (again)! I have a dear friend who was always spouting “hippie nonsense” as liked to jokingly call it. I never gave it too much thought and I kinda dismissed it. But as I laid there, her words were circling around in my head and I realized that SHE WAS RIGHT. Only I am in charge of my own happiness. Only I can take charge of my life and begin down the road to happiness.
So, after 14 years away from the biz, and the life I once loved I have decided to start laying the bricks that will form the sidewalk that leads to the street of doing what I love again. It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow but I can see “it.” I can get there but only by getting moving. Moving Forward.
Thank you Lindsay for planting the seed and for beleiving, never pushing nor pulling, just beleiving in me. Thank you and I will see you on the other side, the side of happiness!
